Celebrate Festival

WRYOA presents:

Celebrate Festival, in its 21st Year

When: 7th May 2018, 12:00pm till 6:00pm

Where: Manley Park, Clarendon Road in Whalley Range

Celebrate is a local day long festival in the heart of Whalley Range, it gives a chance for everybody to come together as a collective, to share one thing in common – the area in which we live.
When it was first built on boggy land, Whalley Range was for wealthy businessmen and their families but has now grown in to something quite unique, full of charm and character. Celebrate Festival looks to celebrate the people that make up this area and all its diversity!
On 7th May Bank Holiday Monday, we have extra reason to celebrate this time as we go in to our 21st year, exploring the theme of ‘harmony’, we think it’s particularly important to come together in challenging times…
With stalls by local sellers and loads to get involved in… Come down and spend the day listening to local live music at two different stages, get a bite to eat, or go for a much needed massage in the Health and Wellbeing tent. We also have an arts and crafts tent, as well as the following:
Circus skills by Higher State Circus
King of the Castle’s inflatable helter skelter
Space Painting with Dan Birkbeck
Hypnotic Art Installations from Travelling Light Circus
Parade Workshop by MCR Wild Wuns
Bike Services and skills workshop
Open Voice Choir
Facepainting
Thai Boxing Demonstration by young people from Whiz
and much more…Stay tuned for updates, especially to find out what bands will be playing…

There is still time to get involved!
