Whiz at Celebrate Festival 2014

Whiz workers and young people worked hard at the Celebrate community festival this year, working on the information desk, running the jewellery making stall and selling bracelets on the grounds, cleaning up the grounds, helping out on the cake and tea stall and serving the volunteers food.

Young people raised £23 on the jewellery stall, selling mostly loom bands which are very popular with young people just now.

Stalls for Celebrate Community Festival: Information/Community Groups/Health & wellbeing

Stalls at Celebrate FestivalA key aspect of our Whalley Range Community Festival is information sharing (as well as fun!) and our annual event can attract up to 4000 visitors.

In the absence of a central community centre or library in Whalley Range, Celebrate is a fantastic opportunity to share relevant local information and news.

Our dedicated information/health & wellbeing marquee gives residents access to local news and initiatives – and the opportunity to participate in a range of alternative therapies and to find out more about holistic practices provided by local practitioners.

If you are a local professional practitioner and would like to provide a complimentary/low cost taster session – or a local community group who would like to host a stall to promote what you do – please get in touch.

Stalls are £15 – or free of charge for community groups.
Please pass on to any of your contacts who may be interested.

Kind regards,
Chris
